Cole welcomes Mrs. Tonya Jinks as the night custodian. Mrs. Jinks comes to us from McCutcheon High School where she had previously worked for about a year. Before this time, Mrs. Jinks worked in maintenance. Mrs. Jinks is a native of Chicago who says she cannot wait to bring her healthy but delicious baked beans to a Cole carry-in. She also is a fan of butter pecan ice cream. Mrs. Jinks is a widow with three daughters and a son. She is a self-proclaimed "Freak for Antiques" meaning she loves to explore and find old things and then bring them back to life. Mrs. Jinks says she felt like home the first time she entered Cole as a substitute custodian,
"The first day I walked in, it felt like a big hug. I was greeted so kindly by the office staff and everyone. I even heard my name on the intercom and heard the principal remind students to clean up their area to do their part to help the custodian. It made me smile." Mrs. Jinks says she wants people to know that she is a quiet person but is also a little obsessive about things being clean. She also wanted everyone to know that she loves big hugs.
