A 100s Party
Hillary Wycoff

All year, kindergarten students have been working on their counting skills and sight words.  The students all have a "Word Ring" of their sight words to use every day to practice.  They also practiced their counting to 100 every day.  A 100s party was planned to celebrate students who knew 100 sight words and could count to 100 by ones, fives, and tens.  The students that met this goal were celebrated with a special lunch of pizza, chips, ice cream, and pop in a decorated classroom to acknowledge their hard work.  The students were all smiles as they filled their bellies with the yummy food they earned by doing the hard work all year long.
