Captain Tobias came to Cole Elementary to teach the fifth grade students the proper way to raise and lower a flag, as well as how to fold it.  The fifth grade students were able to practice these skills with Captain Tobias to make sure they were doing it with the proper respect, because the fifth grade students have the responsibility to put the flag up and take the flag down every day at school.  A group of four students work together each day to properly put the flag up, take it down, and store it until the next day.  Learning about the flag and how to care for it goes along with the life skills that are taught every day at Cole, as well as the Cole Professional Academy.  The students take time to serve others and the school by taking on the flag responsibilities.
