For the first time, Cole Elementary participated in "Home Cooking on the Hardwood."  Parents and family members were able to sign up to come into the school to eat a picnic style lunch with their student.  Blankets, picnic baskets, and a wide variety of carryout food were brought in to be enjoyed by students with their family and friends.  This was a unique opportunity for families to be able to come into Cole to enjoy a special lunch with their student, and over 200 people cycled through the three different lunch times to enjoy a good meal with their student.  "Home Cooking on the Hardwood" may return again this winter to be followed by "Breakfast with a Buddy and "Picnic at the Pond."
