A new group of kindergarten students came to Cole for an evening to get know the building and the teachers before the start of school.  These students came with their parents to see where they were going to be spending the next 180 days, and who they were going to be spending it with.  The kindergarten teachers made this an incredible event for the students and their parents.  The evening started with everyone in the gym with Mr. Pinto welcoming them and explaining the evening.  The parents then went with their child's teacher for a brief parent meeting in the classroom to get information that they would need about the school year.  The students had different stations they went to during this time to explore the building.  After the meeting concluded, the students and parents were free to explore.  They were able to go to the playground, check out the Outdoor Education Center, go for a bus ride, see the library, and get a picture in a silly hat with Mr. Pinto.  

This was a great evening, and the students and parents all left with a smile and ready to begin the start of school.  With having this special time, it made the transition to the first day of school easier and enjoyable for all.
