Cole kindergartners and first graders didn't have to travel to Pyeong Chang to compete in the Olympics! These athletes had their own games right at Cole. Starting with the Opening Ceremony and the Parade of Nations, the students gathered in the gym to compete in sports such as in bobsled, speed skating, hockey, and even curling. Of course with no snow or ice in the gym, teachers had to be a little creative! Gold, silver, and bronze medals were awarded just before the Closing Ceremony, in which the athletes themselves stood to form the Olympic Rings. Good sportsmanship and team camaraderie made this an event of Olympic proportion!
