For Titanic Day, Mrs. Ferger's class joined up with Mrs. Curtis' class to learn about the Titanic! To start off the day, both classes took a walk to the front of the school to see just how large the ship really was. After this, the students came back to the classroom and had the chance to see just how deceiving icebergs can be by looking at ice in a bucket. They watched a video in real-time of the Titanic sinking, it took 2 hours and 40 minutes! The students also had a chance to stick their hands in 28 degree water to get an idea of what those passengers felt when they were submerged in the freezing water. Finally, the students were given a ticket with a passenger of the Titanic and had the chance to discover information about their passenger's life, what they were doing on the ship, and their experience aboard the Titanic.
